Our stellar performance in the Permian Basin was acknowledged at the annual Hearst Awards in Midland, Texas. We were honored to accept the Energy Award for Company Performance in recognition of our recent expansion into the Southern Delaware Basin.
In a short time, we have become one of the most productive and efficient operators in the area. We are leveraging predictive analytics to drill wells faster and with more precision. Drilling efficiencies are on the rise with an 8-day drill time reduction for 10,000 foot lateral wells in the Delaware Basin compared to the beginning of 2017. Third-party analysis of operators in Reeves County show that we have the top productivity per 1,000 feet for both total production and oil production over the first three months of a well. As a multiple-basin operator, we accelerate the learning curve by applying shared learnings and leveraging technical capabilities across our U.S. onshore operations and our midstream business.
Business Unit Manager David Burger accepted the award on behalf of Noble Energy.
“This award is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication each and every one of us do to make this a successful business for Noble. I can’t tell you how proud I am of what we have accomplished in a short amount of time and even more excited about the opportunities ahead of us. We truly are just getting started here."
