John T. Lewis is senior vice president of corporate development of Noble Energy, Inc. Mr. Lewis joined Noble Energy in October of 2008 as director of asset development and reserve officer. From 2008 to 2013, he served Noble Energy as vice president of the southern region and was responsible for all exploration, appraisal, development, and operations in the southern region of the United States. Mr. Lewis also served as senior vice president of business development, frontier and new ventures and strategic planning, environmental analysis and reserves.
Mr. Lewis has over 30 years of industry experience. From 1980 to 1993, he held various positions of increasing responsibility at ARCO Oil & Gas Company, including senior operational/analytical engineer of the Rockies division, the San Juan Basin, and Southern Oklahoma and North Texas divisions. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Lewis worked for Vastar Resources as a senior operational/analytical engineer and later as asset manager of the Gulf of Mexico shelf. He worked at BP from 2000 to 2006 before joining Noble Energy.
Mr. Lewis holds both a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
